Dr. Rachel Luna is the Senior Program Manager for EOPS/CARE, CalWORKs, and Foster Youth Services at 91°µÍø. A Bay Area native, she is excited to serve the 91°µÍø community. Believing in the transformative power of education, she is passionate about empowering students and connecting them with vital resources.
Dr. Luna has a PhD in Higher Education Leadership from Colorado State University, an MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a BA in Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!).
At 91°µÍø, Dr. Luna has been instrumental in launching basic needs initiatives such as the Career Closet and the new food lockers. She led the implementation of the NextUp program and co-created the Pride Alliance, seeking to nurture a more welcoming and equitable campus environment.
Outside of 91°µÍø, Dr. Luna enjoys cheering on local sports teams and tackling the New York Times word puzzles. She shares her life adventures with her wife and their new baby.
